Natural Essences
Goodall’s also have two natural flavours available – Natural Vanilla, & Almond Natural Essence. They are called natural essences because they are free from artificial colours and preservatives and are made using a natural extract from fresh lemons, almonds or vanilla pods.
Serving Suggestion: Why not add a drop of natural vanilla to whipped cream for that extra special taste and serve with piping hot apple tart.
Vanilla Extract
Vanilla is the most popular flavour in the world and it originated in Mexico. Now it is mainly grown in Madagascar and Indonesia and other areas. The vanilla pod is the only edible fruit-bearing orchid. Natural vanilla comes from the fruit of the orchid.
Goodall’s natural vanilla essence is made from the extract of vanilla pods and is free from artificial colours and preservatives.
Almond Extract
Almond is the next most popular after vanilla, and it has a strong, sweet distinctive flavour. Most of the world’s almonds are produced in the USA, Spain, Syria and Italy. Almond extract can be used to flavour biscuits, cakes, cheesecakes and marzipan.
