Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. We recommend using a silicon cake tin but if you are using a traditional one just ensure you line it with baking paper and grease the sides.
- Put the chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of boiling water and melt until thoroughly combined.
- Meanwhile put your eggs and butter in a separate bowl and whisk with an electric mixer on high for approximately 7-8 minutes or until pale and frothy.
- When this is done, fold the chocolate mix into the eggs and sugar until fully combined. Be careful that the chocolate mixture doesn’t accumulate at the end of the bowl so when mixing get right down to the end.
- Pour it into the tin or silicone mould and place into the oven for approximately 20 minutes. Leave to cool completely in the tin or mould before trying to take it out.
- Dust with cocoa powder to decorate.

- 275g dark chocolate 50% (any higher and the cake will taste a bit to rich)
- 150g butter
- 5 eggs
- 50g castor sugar
- ½ tsp Goodall’s vanilla extract
- 20g Cocoa powder for decorating
